Dates Available: June-Sept
Come join IFMGA guides this summer in the North Cascades. This is an Alpine environment that will give you an experience that you will not find on the larger Cascades Volcanoes. The North Cascades gives you a wild sense of remoteness on alpine rock and alpine glaciers at moderate elevations. There is no other true alpine environment that you can find in the lower 48. Expeditions Northwest LLC (ENW) will be coordinating trips out of two small towns (MAZAMA and MARBLEMOUNT) depending on the objective we seek.
FLIGHTS TO WASHINGTON
If your coming from out of state look at Flying into Seattle or Wenatchee airports depending the logistics of your program. Contact ENW for recommendations of how best to proceed.

ALPINE ROCK CLIMBING AT WASHINGTON PASS
Near the Town of Mazama
The Alpine Rock Climbing at Washington Pass is the best introduction to rock climbing in the Mountains. This venue provides a wide spectrum of challenges for those just getting started or seasoned climbers needing to test their limits. Logistically the Pass is only a few minutes away from the town of Mazama and the recreation center of Winthrop. This provides a European experience of Day Alpine climbing allowing you to enjoy the amenities of the Methow Valley culture. Go to the Link "SEE THE TOWN OF WINTHROP" to see other recreation options for you and great family options.INTRODUCTION TO ALPINE ROCK CLIMBING

RESCUE CLINICS

*Do you know how to handle an emergency on a cliff?
*Could you get your partner out of harm's-way?
*Could they get you off?
This course is an intensive 2+ day course designed for most one-on-one and one-on-two rock rescue applications. Learn the skills necessary to execute a self-rescue under realistic circumstances. Skills taught include escaping the belay, rescue raises and lowers, and emergency retreats in a simulated emergency situation.
This course is modeled after the standards applied by the American Mountain Guides Association. As part of the course, students will be asked to perform an actual simulated rescue in an high angle environment.
These are skills all climbers should know.
